About MAGIC
Datasets containing both multi-modal brain imaging and genome-wide genotyping or sequencing information across the genome (genotyping or sequencing) are becoming available and increasing in size. These data provide the ground-breaking opportunity to characterize genomic variants and molecular mechanisms contributing to brain development, function, and aging. However, this endeavor requires bridging expertise across two disciplines, and the massive dimensionality leads to conceptual and computational challenges. The Montreal Neuroimaging-Genomics network focuses on fostering collaborations between the 2 fields, developing and implementing solutions to such challenges.
